Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Live Oak Labs LLC ("Live Oak Labs", "we", "our", or "us"), a Florida limited liability company. They apply to each of our mobile apps listed in Section 2 (each an "App") and to our website at liveoak-labs.com.

By downloading or using an App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Some sections apply to only one App, and those sections say so.

2. Our Apps

• Harmony House is a shared living management app that helps roommates and landlords manage chores, expenses, rent, shopping, and communication.
• Simple Signal tests your WiFi speed and saves the results by room, so you can see where your connection is strong and where it drops off. It has no accounts or sign-in.

3. License to Use the Apps

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use each App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense an App.

4. Eligibility and Accounts

Harmony House. To use Harmony House, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide a valid phone number for account verification
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Harmony House account. By using Harmony House, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Simple Signal. Simple Signal does not use accounts. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Simple Signal only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you, including making any purchase.

5. Purchases and Payments

All purchases in our Apps are made through Apple's App Store as in-app purchases. Apple processes every payment, and we never receive your payment card or bank details. We do not sell anything through our website.

Harmony House subscriptions. Harmony House offers the following subscription plans:

• Tenant/Household: $4.99/month or $39.99/year
• Landlord Basic: $9.99/month or $79.99/year
• Landlord Pro: $24.99/month or $199.99/year

All plans include a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.

Simple Signal Pro (one-time purchase). Simple Signal is free to download. Simple Signal Pro is an optional upgrade sold as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase:

• The price is $4.99 (U.S.). Prices in other countries and regions are set by the App Store in local currency, and the exact price is shown in the App Store before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Pro is not a subscription. It does not renew, and there are no recurring charges.
• Pro stays unlocked for the Apple Account that bought it. To unlock it on another device signed in to the same Apple Account, or after reinstalling the App, tap Restore Purchases in the App.

Refunds. Because Apple processes all payments, refunds for subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price and feature changes. We may change prices or features in the future. A price change will not affect a one-time purchase you have already made. For subscriptions, Apple will notify you of any price increase as its policies require.

6. Simple Signal Speed Tests

• Speed tests run only over the WiFi network your device is connected to, never cellular. Only test networks you are allowed to use.
• Each test downloads and uploads data using speed test servers run by third parties (Apple, Cloudflare, and OVH). Tests count toward any data limits set by your internet provider.
• Results are estimates. They depend on your device, your network, network traffic, and the availability of the test servers, and they can differ from results measured by your internet provider or other tools.
• Simple Signal asks for Location permission only because iOS requires it before an app can read the name of your WiFi network. See the Simple Signal Privacy Policy for details.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use an App for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to an App, its systems, or any network you are not allowed to use
• Use an App to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Interfere with or overload our services or the third-party services an App relies on, including speed test servers
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

8. Your Content and Data

Harmony House. You retain ownership of content you create in the App (messages, expense records, documents, etc.). By using the App, you grant Live Oak Labs LLC a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service. You are responsible for the content you share within your household.

Simple Signal. Your room names and results are stored only on your device. We do not receive or keep a copy, so we cannot recover them if you delete the App or lose your device.

9. Privacy

Each App has its own privacy policy that explains what it collects and how it is used: the Harmony House Privacy Policy and the Simple Signal Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Services

The Apps rely on third-party services, such as Apple for payments, RevenueCat to help manage purchases, and, in Simple Signal, third-party speed test servers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

11. Intellectual Property

The Apps, including their design, features, and branding, are owned by Live Oak Labs LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of an App without our written permission.

12. Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded an App from Apple's App Store, you and we also agree that:

• These Terms are between you and Live Oak Labs only, not Apple. Live Oak Labs, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Apps and their content.
• Live Oak Labs is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the Apps. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support.
• If an App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for that App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the Apps. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent these Terms do not disclaim them.
• Live Oak Labs, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to an App or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that an App fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.
• If a third party claims that an App or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Live Oak Labs, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using an App, such as your agreement with your wireless or internet provider.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Disclaimers

The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Apps will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements, or that Simple Signal's speed results will be accurate or complete. We are not responsible for disputes between household members or landlords and tenants arising from use of Harmony House, or for decisions you make about your network or equipment based on Simple Signal's results.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Live Oak Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Apps. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App and its in-app purchases in the 12 months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to an App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using an App at any time.

Harmony House: you may delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by contacting us at hello@liveoak-labs.com.

Simple Signal: there is no account to delete. Deleting the App removes the data it stored on your device. Deleting the App does not cancel or refund a Pro purchase, and you can restore Pro if you reinstall.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or on this page, and update the date at the top. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
